I Had A Dream!
James E. Whalen
Early Thursday Morning April 2nd, 2009, I had a dream which was very
unusual. I was somewhere on a piece of ground, I do not know
where. There were men, derelicts, bums, and unclean men all
over this area where I stood. Also, there was a great deal of
trash of all sorts; cans, bottles, paper of various sorts, pieces of
lumber and wood, tree prunings, you name it, it was there.
I at once began encouraging the men to clean up this area, stack the
trash and debris in a broad crescent shaped fashion. I didn't
have a reason then known to me why this manner of stacking had any
particular significance.
As the pile of debris grew, I had the men cover it with dirt.
As it continued ti grow because other people came to place their
debris upon it, the men continued to cover it with soil. I
then had them place grass sod upon the soil and to plant rose bushes
all over the growing crescent shaped mound.
I continued to draw people to this mound, to place their debris on
it. The men continued to cover the debris with dirt and to
replant the grass sod and the rose bushes. The people
continued to come and the mound grew and grew.
There were some people who brought old farm tractors which have been
crushed and flattened, I would have them placed in selected spots on
the now huge mound. They were likewise covered with Earth, sod
and the new rose bushes were again planted.
This activity continued until the mound rose like a large crescent
shaped mountain. The grass was green and the roses were
blooming, the air was sweet and pure.
I then awoke and laid in bed thinking about that dream and how
unusual it was. It was not "my type" of Dream! At lst, I
again fell asleep.
The dream continued, although it was disconnected and I did not
realize the significance of this part until much later in the
morning after being awake for a while. My stepson, Andy
Conner, who is "Full Gospel" believer, came to me where I was.
I don't know where this was but I was a filthy mess, clothes dirty,
face, hands and body dirty and stinking with dirt and sweat.
He led me home to Jean. I told her I had to empty out our
storage shed, which we were renting in town for $25 a month.
We could not find the key for the padlock, so I used a bolt cutter
to remove the lock and entered the shed. As I opened the door,
a very strong stinking smell hit me in the face. When I looked
inside, all I say was junk, useless, stinking trash. I removed
it and took it to the mountain and buried it there as I had
encourages and admonished others to do.
I then died and was buried on the highest point on the mountain.
At this location, a large cross had been erected some time previous.
After I awoke, I told my wife, Jean, this dream. I told her it
had to have some significance but I didn't know what it was.
As I was tending to my ablutions in the bathroom, the Holy Spirit
began giving me the interpretation of the dream.
THE INTERPRETATION OF THE DREAM
The first men I met were unsaved and living amongst trash which
represented sin and other things which separated them with any
relationship with God. I encouraged and admonished them to
clean up these areas of their lives. The crescent shaped pile
represents a waning moon because the "things" are disappearing from
their lives.
As the pile of debris grew, I had the men cover it with soil.
The soil represented the Holy Spirit, because our lives and spirits
grow in him. I then had them place grass sod, not seeds, and
rose bushes in the soil. The grass sod represents, the already
growing spirit of man being nurtured by the Holy Spirit. The
rose bushes were representative of the sweet smell of the Holy
Spirit wafting through the lives of person's who know Jesus Christ
as Savior and Lord. The rose bushes were representative also
of the Rose of Sharon.
I continued to draw people to this mound and encouraged and
admonished them to place their debris on it. The men continued
to cover the debris with soil and replace the now covered grass sod
with soil and more grass sod and rose bushes were again planted.
The soil of the Holy Spirit was always spread over the sins and
debris of men and women to cover it and seal it from ever being
brought out again in the lives of those who placed their sins and
debris on this mound. The grass sod and the rose bushes were
planted fresh and new in the lives of those who just discarded their
sins and debris there.
There were some people who brought old farm tractors which had been
crushed and flattened. These represented the occupations,
professions, and careers of man which were interfering with man's
relationship with God. I would have them placed in selected
locations on the mound because of their direct relationship with
certain other debris found at that location. They were
likewise covered with soil on this now huge crescent shaped
mountain. The soil, grass sod and rose bushes were also added
to this mountain.
The activity continued until the mound arose as a large crescent
shaped mountain. The grass was green and the roses were
blooming, the air was sweet and pure.
When Andy found me I was wandering as in a wilderness. I, as
most other people, had "issues" and/or debris in my life as seen
when the storage shed was open. Why the storage shed?
Many of us put things in the back of our minds or deep in our
spirit. We put our own padlock in place to hopefully keep them
there. But they will, and do become exposed when the Holy
Spirit reveals them to us, and, maybe to others.
IN these final words of interpretation, I pray the reader will
understand that the Holy Spirit of God gave the words to me, they
could not be conjured up in my finite mind.
The mountain was built with the sins and debris of the lives of the
men, women, and children whom I had led to the Lord during the
ministry which I undertook in the anointing and power of the Holy
Spirt. When I died, I was buried on the mountain of the
working out of that ministry....... The foot of the cross of
Jesus.
Statement of Purpose: This ministry intends to carry the Cross
of Jesus Christ through every state of the United States and into
foreign countries as the Holy Spirit leads. The Cross, being seen
by many, will convict, will cause questions, will cause controversy,
will stir forgotten commitments and will cause God-ward thoughts to
begin in the observers.
The goals of this ministry are:
- To draw the attention of people to Jesus Christ
- To bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ
- To exhort believers to a deeper, fuller, more enriching walk
with Him.
- To bring the Person of the Holy Spirit to a reality in the lives
of believers
These goals will be met with one-on-one discussions at the cross; at
informal and impromptu gatherings along the routes on which the cross is
carried; by holding rallies in city, county, or state parks; meetings in
churches, tents or public auditoriums.
This ministry is governed by a board of directors and is incorporated
as a non-profit religious corporation bt the State of California and by
the Internal Revenue Service.
We respectfully request both your prayer support and your financial
support.
May the Lord bless you and keep you always, Amen.
